For the last 4 years, Pliability Stretch™ Method has helped thousands of people live active lives without pain or physical limitation thanks to its innovative and comprehensive approach to assisted stretching.  From youth athletes looking to have an injury free season, to empty nesters wanting to return to activities, to senior citizens planning to remain independent, and even those needing to manage series conditions such as paralysis, Parkinson and cerebral palsy; ALL people and abilities benefit from the Pliability Stretch™ Method.   Recently the Pliability Stretch™ Academy became a nationally recognized continuing education program for personal trainers, massage therapists, exercise instructors and soon to be acupuncturists.

Though Pliability Stretch™ has become a leading method in the stretch industry, it started with a focus on movement and rehabilitation.  The creator, Mara Kimowitz, began developing the method and stretching clients nearly 20 years ago.  While living in NYC and pursuing a career as a professional dancer, Mara worked in physical therapy and fitness to pay for dance classes.  In-between dance gigs, that included working for the Mark Morris Dance Group and the Metropolitan Opera of NYC, Mara worked on developing the Pliability Stretch™ Method and trialing it on her Personal Training clients.

After retiring from dance, Mara settled into life as a stay home mom in Mountain Lakes.  When her youngest of three was headed to kindergarten, Mara returned to stretching friends and family out of the basement of her home.  The word got out and the demand for the type of stretching Mara was offering quickly increased.  In the fall of 2017, Mara opened StretchSource® in Boonton and developed a provider training program for additional stretch specialist.  StretchSource® became the first ever assisted stretch studio in Morris County, NJ.

StretchSource® is open 7 days a week from 8am-8pm.  There are four specialists on staff as well as an in-house physical therapist.  Clients seek out Pliability Stretch™ and StretchSource® to postpone potential surgery, for post rehabilitation care, to prevent injury, improve flexibility and to destress.  Imagine relaxing on a table, breathing in aromatherapy and listening to calming music while someone else does the work to unlock the tension in your body.  Fitness and wellness professionals seek out the Pliability Stretch™ Academy for continuing education, to become stretch therapists and to help more people.
